1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Hebrews 11:1-3
“Prince of Peace” by artist A. D. Sims is a featured artwork in the Good Faith Works gallery. In the 20th century, a similar painting called the “Head of Christ” by artist Warner Sallman was seen in over half a billion churches and homes worldwide and was the basis for the visualization of Jesus for hundreds of millions of people. The “Prince of Peace” is also a portrait of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. This project required years of refining. Without a physical subject to model, the portrait is an amalgamation of the Holy Spirit, prayer, worship, and the depiction of Jesus revealed through the word of God.
“It’s a spiritual work of art. It represents God’s hand on my life, and it means a lot to my purpose. My mission is to give the “Prince of Peace” a chance to become the basis for the visualization of Jesus Christ in the 21st century. I believe that somehow God is going to put the “Prince of Peace” in churches and homes worldwide, and the “Prince of Peace” will be a representation of devotion and faith for hundreds of millions of people in the 21st century.”
